The Gateway Shield works as a wireless bridge, connecting Bluz DK development kits to the Internet with the help of a Photon (Wi-Fi) or Electron (Cellular). Besides providing a constant source of triple-filtered, grass fed, free-flowing Internet to all your Bluz DKs, it allows you to isolate the power-hungry portion of your wireless deployment in a central location with a constant power source, so your Bluz DKs can go wherever you need them.

The Gateway Shield will present itself as a separate device class in your Particle account than your Bluz DK. Breakout pins allow you to connect sensors, actuators, and other devices to your Bluz Gateway. Compatible with both the Photon (for Wi-Fi gateways) and Electron (for Cellular gateways).

Note that the Bluz Gateway Shield does not include a Particle Photon or Electron, which must be purchased separately.
