The CAN Shield allows your OpenMV Cam to communicate with other devices on the CAN bus. The CAN Shield can handle baud rates up to 1 Mb/s. The CAN Shield additionally features a voltage regulator on-board so you can power your OpenMV Cam with 12V too.

• The DB9 connector on the CAN Shield connects to a normal DB9 CAN connector and also the OBDII bus layout which can be selected via solder bridges on the bottom of the CAN Shield.

Applications:

The CAN Shield is useful for connecting your OpenMV Cam to a CAN network. For example, with the CAN Shield you can easily hook your OpenMV Cam up to any FIRST Robotics systems. Or, alternatively, up to any automotive CAN networks.
