Arducam introduces its cutting-edge 64MP camera, setting a new benchmark with the Raspberry Pi's largest available sensor size. Designed for seamless integration with libcamera, the camera offers a hassle-free experience for Raspberry Pi users. The camera provides versatile focus options, including auto-focus, manual focus, and continuous focus.
Additionally, Arducam offers a quad-camera kit, enabling the use of up to four 64-megapixel autofocus cameras on a standard Raspberry Pi model. The kit operates in a default quad-channel mode, where all cameras are configured to capture stills/videos simultaneously.
Supported Modes:
1. Single Channel (no sync)
All four cameras work consecutively, capturing one after the other.
Full resolution is maintained for each camera.
2. Dual-Channel (synced)
Two cameras are merged into one full-resolution frame, working synchronously.
Half resolution is allocated for each camera.
3. Quad-Channel (synced)
All four cameras are merged into a single full-resolution frame, operating synchronously.
Quarter resolution is assigned for each camera.
Features:
- Plug-and-Play with libcamera: Native support, effortless setup, no config tweaks needed for instant use.
- Largest Sensor, Superb light sensitivity: Massive 9248×6944 sensor excels, ideal for night shots.
- Four in One: Combine four cameras into one frame, each camera with a max resolution of 4576(H)x3472(V).
- Flexible Focus Choices: Auto, manual, and continuous focus options for diverse environments.
- Compact & Compatible Design: Small 24x25mm size with ABS case, and tripod(UB0224) compatibility for seamless use.
Specifications:
Raspberry Pi 2/3/Zero W may not be able to enable maximum resolution due to RAM, please make sure your platform has RAM greater than or equal to 1G. Capturing maximum resolution on the Pi 4 and CM4 may be impacted by CMA, which can be fixed by switching the GUI mode to terminal mode.
Applications:
- Wildlife Photograph
- Machine Learning
- Home Security System
- AI applications
- DSLR Camera Control
Notes:
- The kit does not include the Raspberry Pi Board or tripod.
- It combines four 64MP cameras into one frame using the Camarray HAT, each with a maximum resolution of 4576(H) x 3472(V).
- The 64MP cameras included in the kit are exclusively designed and can only be utilized with the Camarray HAT. Directly connecting any of them to the Raspberry Pi will not function.
- Capturing maximum resolution on the Pi 4 and CM4 may be impacted by CMA, which can be fixed by switching the GUI mode to terminal mode.
- The four-channel camera uses a 2×2 synthesis method. Cameras 0/1 and 2/3 produce synchronized images, with a one-frame lag between the two pairs. The resolution stays the same, but the frame rate is halved.
- In case of camera failure, the composite image still displays, with the area of the failed camera appearing black.
- The kit only supports the latest Raspberry Pi OS and libcamera apps. Legacy OS users should contact sales for support.
