Why Makerfabs create the MaUWB?

Makerfabs UWB products has attracted a lot of people's attention, basically, it is based on ESP32+ DW1000/3000 chipset, the controller ESP32 drives DW1000/3000 chipset directly with SPI interface with relative complex setting/communication. Makerfabs provide basic usage demo/lib to create anchor/tag positioning application. 

But when it comes to multiple anchors/tags application, there the whole store complex, the firmware/software need to deal with the signal Mutual interference, this needs the users  check very detailed of UWB tech usage and achieve them in coding, which is actually difficult for learner or even for experienced programmers. 

That is why we create the MaUWB ..

How MaUWB Works?

the MaUWB chipset is composed of STM32 and DW3000/PA, the STM32 is pre-programmed by Makerfabs, it drives the DW3000 module and deal with all the tasks in multiple anchors/tags application, such as time slot setting, and report the final result via UART to other controller(ESP32 in our MaUWB module products).  of course, if you do not want to ESP32, actually you can use any controller that has a simple UART port to achieve this, by using the MaUWB chipset.

This UWB module that solves multiple anchors& tags mutual conflicts, support max 8 Anchors + 64 tags in application, to create a multi-anchor multi-tag positioning system,and supports antenna delay settings for tags and anchors.

What is UWB?

Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a short-range, wireless communication protocol that operates through radio waves, enables secure reliable ranging and precision sensing, creating a new dimension of spatial context for wireless devices. In field application, the most problem of UWB is the signal mutual conflicts/interference, that when there multiple anchor& tags exists.

Makerfabs latest MaUWB module solves this problem by integrating an STM32 controller running default firmware, which is carefully designed& adjusted and have been proved reliable in files applications, to deal with the DW3000 multiplexing, that the ESP32 controller can get the UWB arranging result simple by AT commands.
